Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how MONJULS LLC d/b/a Stage Lab (“Stage Lab,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles personal information when you visit stagelab.me, book a call, purchase a Stage Lab service, or communicate with us. Stage Lab is based in Los Angeles, California, USA.
Our services are described in our Terms of Service, which apply together with this Policy.
2. Who this Policy applies to
Stage Lab provides educational, consulting, organizational, technical, and parent-support services to parents and legal guardians of children who participate in the entertainment industry. This Policy applies to parents, legal guardians, and other visitors and clients who use our website or services.
3. Information we collect
Information you give us. This may include:
- your name, email address, and contact details in a messaging app, when you book a call, make a purchase, or message us;
- information about your child that you choose to share with us; and
- materials you voluntarily provide for review, which under our Terms may include casting profiles, photographs, headshots, resumes, reels, self-tapes, audition materials, screenshots, and similar documents.
Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card number. Stripe confirms to us that a purchase was made.
Information collected automatically. When you open a page, our hosting provider (Vercel Inc., United States) receives your IP address, browser type, the time of your visit, and the page requested. This is needed to deliver the site and protect it from attacks. Your cookie choice is stored in your browser. If you click “Accept” in our cookie banner, a Meta advertising pixel is also loaded (see Section 9).
Information from services you use with us. For example, when you book through Cal.com, we receive the booking details you enter there.
4. How we use information
- to provide and schedule the services you purchase, and to review materials you choose to send us;
- to communicate with you about bookings, purchases, and support;
- to process payments, including recurring Membership charges you have authorized;
- to maintain business records and comply with legal obligations;
- to operate and secure our website;
- to measure our advertising, only if you accept advertising cookies; and
- to respond to your questions and privacy requests.
Accepting our Terms alone does not give us permission to use your or your child’s name, image, voice, likeness, or testimonial for advertising or promotion. Any such use is subject to any separate consent required by law.
5. Who we share information with
We do not sell personal information for money. We share personal information with companies that help us operate Stage Lab, only as needed for their service:
- Vercel Inc. — website hosting;
- Stripe, Inc. — payments;
- Cal.com — scheduling free calls and sessions;
- Meta Platforms — advertising pixel, only if you click “Accept”; and
- WhatsApp and Telegram — if you choose to message us there.
We may also use other service providers that help us run Stage Lab, such as tools for email, video sessions, electronic signatures, and file storage. Links on our site to Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube lead to those platforms, which have their own privacy policies.
We may disclose information when the law requires it, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a sale or reorganization of the business.
6. Transfers and security
Our website is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Our providers, including Vercel, Stripe, and Meta, operate in the United States. We take reasonable steps to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Parents and legal guardians
Our clients are parents and legal guardians. We use their contact and purchase information to provide the services described in our Terms. When a service relates to a minor child, the parent or legal guardian confirms in our Terms that they have lawful authority to make decisions about the service on the child’s behalf and to provide us with materials about the child.
8. Children’s privacy
Our website and services are directed to parents and legal guardians, not to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children through our website.
Information about a child reaches us when a parent or legal guardian chooses to provide it, for example photographs, self-tapes, resumes, or details about the child’s experience, so that we can provide the services described in our Terms. We use it only for the purposes in Section 4. A parent or legal guardian may contact us at any time to ask about, correct, or delete information about their child (see Section 12). If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13 without parental consent, we will delete it.
9. Cookies and similar technologies
- Necessary storage. Your cookie choice is stored in your browser (localStorage) so we do not ask you every time. It is not sent anywhere.
- Advertising pixel (Meta). Loaded only after you click “Accept.” It sets the
_fbpcookie (usually up to 90 days) and tells Meta which pages you viewed, your IP address, and browser data. We use this to measure which ads bring parents to the site and to show ads to people who have visited. If you click “Necessary only,” the pixel is not loaded at all.
You can change your choice at any time with the button below or the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of any page. Our website does not currently respond to browser “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control signals; the “Necessary only” button keeps the advertising pixel off.
10. How long we keep information
We keep personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes in this Policy, including providing the services you purchased, maintaining business records, resolving disputes, and complying with legal obligations. You may ask us to delete your information at any time (Section 12); we will do so unless we must keep it.
- Website technical logs — kept by our hosting provider under its own rules.
- Your cookie choice — until you clear your browser data.
- Advertising pixel data — under Meta’s rules; the
_fbpcookie usually lasts up to 90 days.
11. Your privacy rights
California residents. To the extent the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (“CCPA”) applies to us, you may have the right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose; to access a copy of it; to correct inaccurate information; to delete it, subject to legal exceptions; to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information; and not to be treated unfairly for exercising these rights.
In the past 12 months we may have collected these categories of personal information: identifiers and contact details; purchase information; internet and device information (site and cookie data, if you accept cookies); photographs, videos, and other electronic or visual materials you send us; and information about your child that you choose to provide. We collect it from you, from your use of our site, and from services such as Stripe and Cal.com. We disclose it to the providers in Section 5 for the purposes in Section 4. We do not sell personal information for money. The Meta pixel may count as “sharing” for advertising under California law, so it runs only if you click “Accept,” and you can withdraw at any time.
Visitors from the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom. You may request access to your data, correction or deletion, restrict or object to processing, receive a copy of your data, and withdraw consent. You may also complain to your local data protection authority. We use the advertising pixel on the basis of your consent, and technical data at our hosting provider on the basis of our legitimate interest in running and securing the site.
You may have similar rights under other laws.
12. How to make a request
To ask about, access, correct, or delete your information, or to opt out, message us on WhatsApp or Telegram using the links in the footer of our website. Please include your name and the contact detail you used with us, and say what you are asking for. We may verify your identity before acting, for example by confirming details we hold. An authorized agent may submit a request for you with your written permission. We will respond within the time required by law (generally 45 days for California requests) and may decline a request where the law allows, explaining why.
13. Third-party sites and services
Links on our site, including Cal.com, Stripe, WhatsApp, Telegram, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, lead to services we do not control. Their own privacy policies apply to what you do there.
