More Than Talent.

Your child doesn't need more activities — they need a strategy.

Stage Lab doesn't just develop talent. We design a system for your child's growth: which directions to pursue, in what order, and why — so each one builds skills that open new opportunities. Our deepest expertise is the U.S. child acting industry, the most demanding school of professional preparation in the world.

01Why

Why I built Stage Lab

I'm Yuliia Rastvortseva, a mom who took her son through two brutally competitive industries at once — professional acting and competitive ballroom dance in the U.S.

Transferable skill families our strategy is built on
Like many parents, I made mistakes. I trusted the wrong people. I spent money where I shouldn't have. I believed promises that never became results. Yuliia Rastvortseva · Founder, Stage Lab

Four steps that became a method

This part of the story matters more than any award: the turning point wasn't when the results came — it was when I stopped following everyone else's advice.

01

Mistakes, not wins

For a long time, Nicolas trained at acting schools, clubs, and dance studios where he worked hard — but wasn't truly growing.

02

The turning point

I stopped following everyone else's advice and started learning how the industry actually works: the system, the documents, the materials, the right way to submit.

03

Results without an agency

We found most of the projects ourselves. Not luck — understanding the system.

04

The discovery that became a method

The real discovery wasn't that he pursued two disciplines. It was what transferred between them — not the activities, but the skills. The resilience he built on the dance floor showed up on set. The presence he built in front of a camera showed up on the floor. Once you can see that it's a skill that transfers, you can see that a child's development can be designed.

02Method

The unit of development isn't an activity — it's a skill

Activities don't create value on their own. Two families can take their kids to the exact same studio and get a different result — because it isn't the studio that develops, it's the skills. That's where the entire Stage Lab method comes from.

Five families of transferable skills

Every map of a child's development reduces to five families. This is Stage Lab's working coordinate system: it's what the diagnostic reads, what the strategy is designed around, and what progress is measured against.

01 Presence

Confidence · camera work · stage presence · posture · self-presentation · voice

02 Communication

Speech and clarity · storytelling · public speaking · persuasiveness · listening

03 Character

Discipline · resilience · endurance · working under pressure · responsibility

04 Adaptability

Speed of learning · flexibility · working with feedback · entering a new environment

05 Creativity & Emotional Intelligence (EI)

Imagination · emotional expressiveness · empathy · reading people · musicality

What each direction actually gives back

No direction is "better" than another — each has its own profile. That's exactly why the same combination of activities gives two children a different result.

Actingcommunication · storytelling · emotional intelligence · adaptability · confidence · presence on camera
Sportdiscipline · resilience · confidence · endurance · teamwork · working under pressure
Dancecoordination · posture · sense of rhythm · musicality · body awareness · stage presence
Musicconcentration · ear training · consistency · emotional expressiveness
Leadershipdecision-making · responsibility · influence
Public speakingpersuasiveness · clarity · confidence

Every child needs their own combination. There's no universal formula. Our expertise is designing the right ecosystem for this specific child.

Why acting is our deepest expertise

It isn't just one direction among others. It's the deepest layer of our expertise and the main source of the brand's authority — for three reasons.

By skill coverageThe only children's discipline that directly trains three of the five skill families at once — and does it through a camera, the interface most human communication now runs through.
By the depth of the environmentThe U.S. child acting industry is the most structured, most demanding environment for a child's professional preparation in the world. Whoever can guide a child through it can guide them through anything.
By verifiabilityThe only children's industry where the result of preparation is visible objectively and immediately: the materials either work, or they don't. An environment that doesn't let you lie is the best school for a strategist.
Bigger than film and TVCommunicating on camera stopped being a professional skill and became a life skill: YouTube, interviews, presentations, public speaking, personal brand, leadership.

This investment pays off no matter the outcome — the skills stay with the child whether or not they become a professional actor.

03Ecosystem

Services aren't the product.
The product is the strategy

Stage Lab doesn't sell acting classes, photos, reels, or submissions. Those are all tools. The product is a personal strategy for developing a child's skills, positioning them professionally, and widening the child's future opportunities. The ecosystem has five layers, and each one is a logical continuation of the one before it.

Layer 01Core

Strategy

Assessing abilities and skill profile, a personal roadmap, family strategy sessions, regular progress reviews, guiding the parent's decisions.

Layer 02

Professional Positioning

Headshots, acting and sports reels, voice-overs, portfolios, resumes, self-tapes. These aren't media products — they're positioning tools. A headshot isn't a photograph; it's a statement of who the child is in the market.

Layer 03

Industry Preparation

Work Permit and Coogan Account, casting profiles, self-submissions, submission strategy, audition prep, professional correspondence, agency- and manager-readiness.

Layer 04

Ongoing Support

Finding the right roles, professional self-submissions, profile management, material updates, priority correspondence, and a monthly strategy call.

Layer 05Flagship

Long-Term Partnership

Eight months of personal family support: a development strategy, weekly calls, every professional material, self-submission training, and agency submissions at the program's finish.

04Process

Parents aren't buying a number of emails.
They're buying peace of mind

We don't sell submissions — we sell your child's go-to-market strategy, where every recommendation follows a sequence: when, why, whether the child is ready, whether the materials are ready — and whether this would be a mistake right now.

Follow-up support45 days

This isn't a spray-and-pray blast into the void. Every submission is selected for the child's age, type, and goals, personalized, and documented.

01

Documents and readiness

Foundation

Work Permit, Coogan Account, an honest read on the child's readiness. We submit nothing until the legal and professional foundation is in place.

02

Packaging and brand

Materials

Headshots (commercial + theatrical), reels, the child's story — materials an agency will actually open and remember.

03

Submission and support

Going to market

30+ carefully selected submissions — every agency chosen for the child's age, type, and goals. A full report on every submission, plus follow-up support.

04

The honest framing on agencies

Context

We walked this path ourselves — which is exactly why we know when and why an agency truly matters. Most major projects come through agencies. Even if the first year or two of submissions don't produce roles, it doesn't mean the strategy isn't working — it's an investment in future opportunities.

05Honesty

What we guarantee
and what we never promise

In the child-acting niche, promises don't get believed — and rightly so. So let's start with the list of what you won't hear from us.

We never promise
Roles and contractsThat depends on the industry's decisions. Any promise otherwise would be dishonest.
Fame or stardomWe don't create talent, and we don't sell a dream of stardom.
Agency representationNo one can guarantee an agent will sign a child — that decision always belongs to the agency.
That acting is right for everyoneSometimes the right answer is "acting isn't for you." And that, too, is a successful consultation.
We guarantee
Every document will be preparedWork Permit and Coogan Account — within the agreed scope.
Every material will be createdHeadshots, commercial and theatrical reels.
Every submission will be completedWithin the agreed scope, with a report on each one.
Or we finish it — or refund itIf anything that depends on Stage Lab isn't delivered, we either finish the work at no additional cost, or refund the part not delivered.
The founder's personal promise
I can't promise your child a role, a contract, or fame. No one can honestly promise that. But I can promise to treat your family's journey as seriously as I treated my own son's. Yuliia Rastvortseva · Founder, Stage Lab

Professional services → ongoing support → the flagship program. Below is the full breakdown of each tier.

These tools work when they're built into a strategy. On their own, they give you a photo, a reel, or a stack of documents — not an opportunity. That's why we recommend starting with a Strategy Session rather than picking a service off a price list.

The Flagship Program

A limited number of families

Stage Lab Family Advisory

$7,500/ 8 months

We deliberately take on a limited number of families, so every child gets the most personalized support, attention, and long-term development strategy we can give. This isn't a subscription and it isn't a bundle of services — it's a program in which I guide your family through the industry the same way I once guided my own son through it.

  • A 90-minute personal strategy session at the start of the program
  • Weekly 15-minute calls for the full length of the program
  • A personalized development strategy for your child
  • Professional Headshots
  • Commercial Reel + Theatrical Reel
  • Two professional voice-overs
  • Work Permit and Coogan Account guidance
  • Building and setting up professional profiles, including IMDb
  • A self-submission strategy and hands-on family training
  • Ongoing support for the full length of the program
  • Preparation for agency submissions
  • Agency submissions once that preparation is complete

Why agency submissions come at the end, not the start. We spend the first months teaching your family to work with the industry on your own, through self-submissions. During that time, your child gets first projects, real experience, photos, footage, credits, and an understanding of how the market actually works; we build and properly set up an IMDb profile and teach your family how to use it. We move to agency submissions closer to the end of month eight — if the family has stayed active and the child is genuinely ready. I won't promise you that a few applications get you a contract right away. First, we make your child a strong candidate. Only then do we submit.

After the program ends, your family can continue working with me through Stage Lab Membership — or move forward on your own, already knowing how.

08FAQ

Questions people ask before starting

Don't see your question? Ask it right inside the diagnostic — the first step is answered by a real person, not a bot.

Money & Format

Getting in costs $0 — the free diagnostic already gives you the whole picture. The next step is $250 for 60 minutes. We built the ladder this way on purpose, so you only decide on the bigger investments after you've seen our work up close.

Yes. The strategy, the materials, and the preparation all happen online. Some steps — like the paperwork — are tied to the U.S., and we'll tell you honestly during the diagnostic what applies to your situation now and what applies later.

Your Child & Family

Then we'll start by reviewing what happened. Most of the time it isn't the child, and it isn't a lack of talent — it's a mismatch between the goal and the path taken: you wanted a professional level and ended up in a casual-enrichment club, or the other way around. That mismatch is what causes most of the disappointment.

That's a normal, common answer. The diagnostic checks readiness, not talent. If now isn't the time, we'll say so — and that's a successful consultation too. Our consultations don't end in a sale if there's nothing to sell.

You don't have to. One of our jobs is helping you build the right team and make decisions deliberately — while staying your child's mom or dad, not their boss. We don't make your child into someone else — we help you see and strengthen what already makes them unique.

Direction

Skills transfer, and the ecosystem is designed around any profile. The unit of development isn't an activity — it's a skill: the resilience and composure under pressure that sport builds work everywhere, and the presence and communication that acting builds fastest work in interviews, on camera, and in public speaking. Acting is our deepest expertise, but we build the strategy around your child, not around our own specialty.

It's precisely because we did it ourselves that we know when and why an agency truly matters. Most major projects come through agencies. Our job is to prepare your child and your materials so that conversation becomes possible in the first place.

The first step is free

Every child has talent.
Very few families build a strategy to develop it.

The difference isn't talent. The difference is the decisions parents make every single year.
